A Vitalising Butter & Coconut Coffee
Living the LCHF Lifestyle you might expect getting quite tired of having eggs and bacon every morning, so why not renew it with the vitalising coconut & butter coffee? This leaves you with the possibility to choose a more light breakfast as the coffee is so heavy and fat. Yummy!
Did you know that coconut oil can be classified as a superfood, and is one of the richest sources of saturated fat? The high content of fatty acids like MCTs (Medium Chain Triglycerides) have specific positive effects on our health such as weight loss and improved brain function. I’ll elaborate on that in another post.
Maybe you’re generally searching for alternatives to your breakfast. A breakfast should always contain cream, cheese, butter or coconut oil as we all basically need the healthy fat. Even though we are improving using healthy clean and basic ingredients and for instance get used to having the panini for our toasts, we might need a simple morning from time to time. An example of this could very well be what I chose to call a Vitalising Butter & Coconut Coffee!
How To Do The Vitalising Butter & Coconut Coffee
Serves 1 person
1-2 tablespoon coconut oil (use either the natural one with favour or if you don’t like it, use the flavourless instead)*
1 teaspoon of unsalted butter
A large cup of coffee, warm and fresh
Put it all in a bowl and blend or mix it for 12-20 seconds. Serve at once.
*Regarding the amount of coconut oil it’s all depending on your taste.
The heat of the coffee will make the coconut oil and the butter melt nicely, so the coffee gets smooth. It is therefore not a drink, I can recommend iced, but I will make an experiment one day anyway.
